Functions and How to Use Word Ribbon 2013

The Ribbon is a sheet or section on the top side of the microsoft word worksheet 2013. Ribbons have many Tab icons, features, and buttons that contain a variety of commands. What is a command? the command in the intention is that if we click one of the button, then the system will perform the command in accordance with the corresponding command.

One of the dominant features in the Ribbon is the Tab feature, the tab has many types, so if you click on one of the tabs, the Ribbon will display the buttons in the corresponding category..



Ribbon in Word 2013 has an advantage, that is, if you click or select a particular object that is in the document (worksheet) cotohnya header, images, video, files, and table, then Ribbon will automatically display the contextual tab associated with your object select, the advantage is you can quickly complete the document you are working on.



How to use Ribbon?

1.
Finding the General Feature of the Ribbon

As I alluded to above, the Ribbon has a great deal of embossed features, and there is certainly a common (often used) and less common (rarely used). For that to make it easier for you, here I write a general feature only, which is less common we discuss in other articles.



To search for common features we just need to click the Tab key. (Note the red box)

As the picture shown above, these 3 Tabs are the most common features used by ms Word users 2013. Here's a brief explanation:


  1. The Home tab is a Tab containing command buttons for document formats.
  2. Tab Insert,contains the command buttons to insert objects, such as: Picture (picture), Shape, SmartArt, Chart, Screenshot to take pictures from the program, and so on
  3. Tab Page Layout,contains about the command buttons for page layout settings and paragraph formatting.


2. Hiding the Command Button


Ribbon has a pretty useful button to expand the worksheet, because it is more efficient in the process of making documents, but depends on each other better which one. The button is called Collapse the Ribbon, the position of this button is above the vertical scroll bar.

The function of the button Collapse the ribbon is to hide the command buttons in the microsoft word tab 2013 and the remaining / displayed only tab category only.


3. Understand the Ribbon Display Options feature

The Ribbon Display Options are located on the left of the minimize button and one line with the Title bar. This button is used to set the Ribbon display. The button has a division again in it, ie there are 3 buttons. The buttons function to set the display Ribbon. Here's a brief explanation of those 3 buttons:

  • Auto-Hide Ribbon,  to hide the Ribbon automatically when not in use. To restore the original view just point the mouse pointer to the top of the MS-Word worksheet 2013. You can also use the command buttons, or can also click the icons point 3, located on the top right side next to the Ribbon Display Options.
  • Show Tabs, to display only tabulation names and hide the buttons inside.
  • Show Tab and Commands, Serves to display the names tabulation along with the buttons inside.
